I DIDN'T FALL OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH

Greetings to all my friends! I’ll bet you all thought that I’d fallen off of the face of the earth. I felt that way myself during the month of September. But no, I’m still on this planet, though feeling a bit dazed. In September I attended Bouchercon 2011 in St. Louis and had a fabulous time. My friend and first reader Judy Rosser did the driving and kept me company. Since I'm a sleepy-head she even had coffee ready when I rolled out of bed in the morning. What a wonderful friend! A big thanks to her husband Gary, for sharing.

Last weekend I attended the RWI, Inc. Writer’s Retreat at Meadowlake Lodge close to Sand Springs, Oklahoma. What a lovely and rustic spot. (This was my kind of roughing-it: air conditioning, microwave, internet service.) Jean Brashear was our speaker and very inspiring. I came home refreshed and eager to get back to my work-in-progress.

My stay at the retreat was cut short by a call to do Grandma Stuff. I couldn’t call this babysitting, because my 13-year-old twins end up taking care of me in one way or another. My grandson is my IT expert.

Tomorrow I’ll tell you about an exciting new Mystery We Write Holiday Blog Tour. For two weeks, November 25 to December 9, fourteen top-notch mystery authors and moi will be swapping posts. BIG NEWS: We’ll be giving away lots of FREE books! More about this very soon so stay posted.

Hugs to all,

Jackie

Being a grandma is the most fun in the world. My daughter is expecting twins in April.

Hi Ann, Congratulations! Twins are awesome.

I made some changes on my blogsite, and now the silly thing doesn't want to let me post a comment. Urgh! Guess I'll have to fool it and go as Anonymous.

Sounds like you had fun, Jackie. The grandma stuff is fun too. :)

After all the planning and discussions, it's almost time for the biggest and bestest virtual book tour that ever was. I'm excited because you're going to be my first guest on November 25.

Thanks, Jean, I'm excited about our upcoming tour, too. I think it will be fun for all.
